An opportunity to identify and discuss flora with Dr. Tom Eddy
The Tallgrass Prairie is one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. Join this area’s leading expert, Dr. Thomas Eddy, and Prairie Earth Tours, on a trip to learn about how to identify wildflowers, how certain plants have changed the course of history, and what plants have traditionally been used for food and medicine. Dr. Eddy is a botanist and entomologist. Retired from the Department of Biological Sciences at Emporia State University, Eddy has been an inspiration to countless individuals learning to appreciate the complex prairie ecosystem. Rarely will you find someone more passionate in their field. Every trip you take to the prairie is more enjoyable when you can identify the plants you walk by. This tour is one of our most popular.

Dr. Eddy is Awesome. If this tour is repated, I'll definitely return for a refresher course.
One of the wonderful things about wildflower tours is the fact that there are never two the same. Even if you go to the same place with the same people two days in a row, you will learn something new and different. I love all the great stuff I have learned from Dr Eddy over the years, and I have no doubt that there is still more he could teach me
